Cub Scouts is a year-round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of young boys ages 5-10 and their families. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Boys can begin as Lion Cubs as they start Kindergarten, and then move into the Tiger, Wolf and Bear Cub Scout programs (first, second and third grade, or ages 6, 7, 8), and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth grade, or ages 9 and 10). They then transition into the Boy Scouts Program.

In the Atlanta Area Council, Cub Scouts and their families look forward to Cub Scout Camping opportunities and many other community-centered District Activities. These service projects, games and camping activities guide boys through core values and give them a sense of personal achievement. Parents, leaders and friends play an active role in the program as they encourage boys to live the Cub Scout Motto “Do Your Best.”
